EC ELECTION NOTICE – May 2025
Dear Member:
This is a general notice to inform all members of the forthcoming elections for the EC (Executive Committee). Elections are to be held for the following positions outlined below as follows:
- President
- Vice-President
- General Secretary
- Treasurer
Nominations: All nominations are to be formally submitted in writing to Dr Amir Rizvi, either in person, or by recorded delivery post to the following address:

Formal nominations can be made on normal paper and must be supported by two current members who are eligible to vote in these elections. The closing date for formal nominations submission and any subsequent withdrawals is strictly Thursday 12 June 2025.
Elections: Elections and the Annual General Meeting will be held at Al Raza Foundation, 8-16 Park Grove, Levenshulme, Manchester M19 3AQ on Friday 13 June 2025. Voting will take place between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The results are to be subsequently declared the same day.
All members are reminded that in accordance with the constitution, all eligible voting members and nominees must be of local Greater Manchester residence, of Shi’ite Muslim origin and must have a consecutive membership subscription record of a minimum of six months, leading to May 2025 (subscription commencement from December 2024 minimum). All nominees must have no previous criminal or bankruptcy record.
